Dubrovnik airport

Dubrovnik Airport, also known as Čilipi Airport, is the international airport of Dubrovnik, Croatia. The airport is located around 25km from Dubrovnik city centre, near Čilipi. The airport has the longest runway in Croatia and was the second largest in terms of passenger numbers up until 2013 when it was surpassed by Split Airport. Further expansion is planned for this year due to increasing demand. A new 36,500 square metres terminal with four jet bridges is under construction; the new terminal will have a projected annual capacity of 4 million passengers. The terminal once completed will be the largest in Croatia although expansion of Zagreb airport also started in the end of 2014. Future airport will have an extensive commercial zone and a big 4 star hotel, and long-term plans call for a new runway and the conversion of the existing runway into a taxiway.
