Vodice is city 10 km from Šibenik, towards Zadar with number of 6 100 inhabitants.
This town was mentioned for the ﬁrst time in 1402. lt was once a strongly fortiﬁed town which offero protection to the local people from the Turks. From those times Corica Tower still remains standing. In the graveyard to the west of the village is the Chapel of Holy Cross (Sveti Kriz) from 1421. Up to the war in 1991-95, Vodice was a strong holidaymaking centre which is gradually becoming once again, after reconstruction.
